MESSAGE OF THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE IN BEYRUT

Dear fellow citizens,

Dear Lebanese friends,

It is with great pleasure and honor that I have taken office as of 15 March 2021 as Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Lebanon which has a privileged position for our country and people in the light of deep-rooted historical and cultural ties.

First of all, I would like to salute you with the most heartfelt feelings on behalf of our President and our Minister of Foreign Affairs, and to wish you all health and well-being in the current Covid-19 pandemic, a formidable challenge for the whole world.

During my term of office, I and the Embassy team will continue to demonstrate the utmost effort and will with the contribution and cooperation of all relevant Turkish authorities, in order to further our deep-rooted relations with the brotherly Lebanese state and people in every field. In accordance with our humanitarian and enterprising foreign policy; in good times or bad times, we will always stand by Lebanon whose stability we attach great importance to and by all our Lebanese friends indiscriminately. We will always remain in solidarity with the Lebanese state and its people in their hard times as we, under the instructions of our President, demonstrated by mobilizing all our institutions to heal the wounds of the brotherly Lebanese people when Beirut was hit in the heart by a horrific explosion on 4 August 2020.

The main duty of our Embassy towards our fellow citizens living in or temporarily visiting Lebanon is to safeguard their rights and interests, to provide them with support, assistance and consular protection, and to make them feel the support of the Republic of Türkiye in troubled times. In this respect, we will continue to develop our current practices to offer consular services in the fastest and most efficient manner. In order to listen to your questions and find solutions to your problems, we will always keep all of our Embassy’s communication channels open for you, including our 24/7 emergency phone lines.

Reminding that we will always be open to all kinds of wishes, opinions, suggestions and criticisms that you would like to share in all sincerity with our Embassy, I would like to salute you wholeheartedly once again on behalf of myself and the Embassy team.
